Administration/Management

Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater is managed by VenuWorks of Jefferson City. VenuWorks offices are located at 1505 Riverside Drive. Office hours are Tuesday-Friday from 11:00 am to 5:00 pm.

Accessibility

ADA seating is available for purchase via Ticketmaster.com or in person on the day of the show at the Hawthorn Bank Box Office. Capital Region MU Health Care Amphitheater is proud to offer ample accessible seating for guests that need it, however, it is on a first come, first serve basis and some events may sell out of accessible seating. Guests are encouraged to plan ahead and not wait to request accessible seating until they arrive. Please contact the ticket office with questions.

Alcohol

Sale of alcoholic beverages to persons under the age of 21 is strictly prohibited. Guests under 40 can expect to present a valid driver’s license or identification card to purchase alcohol.

Animals

Service Animals as defined by the American Disabilities Act (ADA) are permitted.

Bag Policy

Clear purses/bags smaller than 12"x12"x6" are permitted into the venue. As a courtesy to those seated near you, smaller is better. Diaper bags and medical bags are also permitted, but will be subject to search. Small clutch purses measuring no larger than 4.5” x 6.5” will be permitted. Large bags, suitcases, backpacks, camera cases, cinch bags, tinted or printed pattern plastic bags, fanny pack, oversized tote bags and sealed packages are not permitted.

Cameras

Video cameras, professional cameras with detachable or zoom lenses, GoPros, drones, selfie sticks, and tripods are prohibited. Policies around point and shoot cameras vary by event and is up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer.

Some events will mandate absolutely no use of cameras or videos – including cell phone cameras/video. We will do our best to communicate these restrictions through the event listing on this website.

Please consider the enjoyment of those around you when taking pictures/video – no one wants to watch a show through the cell phone of the person in front of them. Guests may be asked to put cameras/cell phones away if it interferes with other guests’ enjoyment of the event.

Cell Phones/Computers/Tablets

Cell phones are permitted; computers (including laptops) and tablets are not permitted.

Child Ticket Policy

Most events require all guests to have a ticket, however, this may vary by event and is up to the discretion of the tour or event organizer. Please contact the ticket office for information on child tickets for specific events.

Doors/Gates

Doors for most ticket events will open one and a half hours prior to event time. However, this can vary by event.

Entry/Re-Entry

For ticketed events, re-entry with the same ticket is not permitted.

Fundraising Opportunities

Fundraising for non-profit groups are available at the amphitheater. Please contact us to request more information.

Lost & Found

During an event, lost items can be dropped off at Guest Services, where guests may also check if they have lost an item. If you are looking for an item after the event has concluded, please contact the ticket office.

Lawn Seating

Reserved lawn seating on the lawn terrace sections and general admission lawn seating on the main lawn are first come, first served to all areas. Blankets/tarps are recommended for sitting in this area although lawn chairs may also be used as long as they are not obstructing the view of other guests.

Parking

Parking at Riverside Park is available for all amphitheater events. Guests will be directed to the nearest available lot upon entering the park from Grant Street. Guests requiring disabled parking should indicate their seating location to the parking attendant to be directed to the best disabled parking location for ease of entry. Guests who still need to purchase tickets should also let the parking attendant know so you can be directed to park near the box office.

Prohibited Items

For the safety and comfort of guests, staff and artist, the following items are prohibited.

  • Air horns, noisemakers, whistles, or similar items
  • Animals, except service animals assisting guests with disabilities
  • Backpacks, large bags, suitcases, or sealed packages
  • Balloons, beach balls and other inflatable items
  • Computers, laptops or tablets
  • Professional-grade cameras and detachable lenses
  • Drones or other model aircraft
  • Drugs (illegal), including paraphernalia
  • Face paint and costume-type face masks. (Medical face masks allowed)
  • Flag poles or any support frames for banners/signs
  • Flasks, coolers, cans, bottles, or any similar containers
  • Fireworks or explosives
  • Outside food and beverage including alcohol and coolers
  • Hazardous materials including chemicals and aerosols (non aerosol bug spray is permitted)
  • Laser pointers, laser products or flashlights
  • Sealed or wrapped packages
  • Selfie sticks
  • Skateboards, roller skates, roller blades, skate shoes or bicycles
  • Space heaters
  • Umbrellas
  • Video or audio recording devices
  • Weapons of any kind; including but not limited to knives, guns, box cutters, pocket knives, blades, tools, mace, pepper spray, brass knuckles, stun guns, handcuffs, sticks, clubs, batons, explosives, and anything else staff deems unacceptable.
Any item management deems a safety hazard or would diminish the guest experience, including signs or garments deemed offensive.

Refunds

All ticket sales are final. In the instance an event is cancelled or rescheduled, refunds may be requested at the point of purchase.

For rescheduled events, some promoters may require refunds be requested within a set time frame following the announcement of the new date. Please contact the ticket office immediately if the new date does not work for your party.

Security/Screenings

Pre-event screenings, including metal detectors and bag checks, may be conducted. All guests are subject to search. If prohibited items are revealed during screenings, guests will be permitted to dispose of the item or return it to their vehicle.

All alcohol, illegal drugs or paraphernalia will be confiscated, guests will be denied entry and the Jefferson City Police Department will be notified.

Venue staff will not safeguard any personal belongings or items of any type.

Strollers

Strollers are allowed into the venue, but not the seating area.

Smoking/Vaping

The amphitheater is a smoke-free/vape-free venue. Smoking/vaping is permitted ONLY in designated locations.

Ticket Office

The Hawthorn Bank Box Office will be open for ticket purchase two hours prior to show time. Will call will be available 90 minutes prior to show time.
